On Tuesday night there are many tournaments running at the Rio Convention Center. We start off in Brasilia Room with Event #48: $5,000 No-Limit Hold’em (30-minute levels) and here we meet Fabrice Soulier, Mike ‘Timex’ McDonald, Michael ‘Grinder’ Mizrachi, Phil Hellmuth, Olivier Busquet, Antoine Saout, Olivier Busquet, Jason Mercier, Max Silver, Davidi Kitai, Joe Cada and Anthony Zinno who think his table is full of fish. Jason Mercier is complaining, with a smile, that all the players at his table is tanking to cash, when he wants to play fast to win the next bracelet.
Going over to Event #49: $1500 Seven Card Stud we meet Jason again since he rushed over here during the 20 minute break in Event 48 to play some stud. He is short, but won’t miss a chance to win that third bracelet. In this tournament we also see Robert Mizrachi, Australian veteran Mel Judah, Adam Friedman, the controversial Chris Ferguson seated next to double bracelet winner Benny Glaser. Matt Glantz is also at the same table and he talks about how Brexit didn’t affect Glaser too much. We also see Eugene Katchalov sitting next to Shaun Deeb and finally we meet our friend Andy Black who thinks he is a stud.
We continue through the Amazon room to see day 2 of Event #47: $10,000 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball (Limit) Championship with only 13 players remaining. We see chip leader John Hennigan at the same table as Dzmitry Urbanovich. At the second table sits second in chips Scott Abrams, JC Tran and Dan Shak. At the third table we get to see an exciting hand between Daniel Negreanu who goes all-in and Abe Mosseri who is third in chips. Daniel doubles up to stay in the tournament.
Finally we get to see ‘The Thunderdome’ stage where most of the final tables are being played and you can follow the action with hole cards every day at WSOP.com/live.
